That is not meant to be a slight in any way, simply an acknowledgement of current status.

Today’s dialogue in the nosework community is about the use of AI in blog posts. I think it’s a very valuable dialogue, if a painful one. Speaking of painful, that’s realizing you’ve overwritten Region 1 information with Region 2 information in your main document, even though you were SO SURE you did a “Save As” for Region 2. In other words, I expect it is abundantly clear already that WeSmellBetter does not use AI, either in the blog or in the coding and data, because I don’t think even AI would do something that stupid. I will admit to an AI assist on the WSB logo and help videos animation. Graphics are definitely my own slippery slope when it comes to AI because I have all kinds of vision and less than no actual ability (or budget) in that regard, which is absolutely a short-sighted excuse and not a rationale. With actual data analysis, however, I’ve been super unimpressed with AI; when I asked it to categorize the responses to our big AKC Scent Work survey last year, the result was really quite plausible but turned out to have no relationship at all to the actual information provided – the “analysis” was entirely fabricated! And, obviously, when it comes to writing, AI will have to pry the keyboard out of my lifeless hands, because vomiting forth All The Words is the only thing that keeps me in the vicinity of sanity, too bad for you all (she said, insincerely).
